SUPER TYPHOON YOLANDA

(Super Typhoon, Flood)

                    What I will tell you is my father's experience. He went to the very place where Typhoon Yolanda hit Leyte to visit his brother that has sick. Dad wanted to take more time to take care of his brother, but the cancellation of airport flights caught up with him. Because of this incident, he could do nothing but stay in Leyte and stay there with his siblings. We never thought that typhoon Yolanda would hit the Visayas so hard. As the strong storm continued, we were afraid of what could happen to them there, and we didn't get any news from papa. We could not call them because of the weak signal brought by the storm. After the Disaster, we saw what happened in other parts of the Visayas severely damaged by the typhoon in Leyte. Mama was crying because we still didn't have contact with papa until the evening when someone called on mama's cellphone but, it was a different number. We didn't know that it was papa. He only used the cellphone because his cellphone lost during the weather storms in Leyte. We are very grateful that papa and his siblings are safe, especially his sick brother. So my dad is also one of the Yolanda Survivors. 

        Our place was not severely damaged. Our roofs were less flaky, but the wall near my bedroom has a crack because the tree fell and luckily no one hurt. But in the place where papa went was severely damage.
